Help me give my students opportunities to have interesting real-world reading materials. They love getting Let's Find Out, Science Spin, & TIME for Kids to read in class and to take them home to share with their families.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love that I'm able to teach and foster a love of reading in students as they start their educational journey. I have the privilege of teaching them to read, showing them the love of reading, and providing examples of interesting and fun reading options, which helps get them started on their lifelong reading journey. Students love learning about the interesting topics covered in the magazines.
They are excited when they can take home the magazine and show their family what they've learned.
Being able to share the magazines with their family provides a source of pride. This excitement encourages the children to work hard to become readers. Students are now motivated to take charge of their learning and keep going when some skills seem a bit tough.
