My Project

As Earth Day approaches I want my second grade dual language learners to appreciate nature/environment in and outside of the classroom. This includes using books to instruct and pictures to show natural beauty in this world.

These early concept books will help with my most needy readers and also my native language readers to learn words relating to the environment in English.

These books can also support my more on grade level and advanced learners to write additional facts to go along with the main ideas of these texts.

Lastly, the carpet squares can allow for a more flexible and comfy place to sit in using different parts of the room. I can also use the squares to teach nature concepts along with I Spy and other games to support learning and a positive classroom environment.
