My fourth grade learners are enthusiastically tackling academics and socializing this year. As many students continue learning social norms after the COVID crisis, these students are no exception. With the rainy season upon us, cooperative games and comforting snacks for indoor recess will help these learners socially and academically. Playing board games helps reinforce math skills while also providing socializing with peers in a low risk setting. Although they enjoy digital games during recess time, unplugged games are more socially engaging and will continue to foster the bonds these super kids are forming with each other.
