My Project

This is the first year our Middle School has had a media production class. There are five periods of students that rotate the weekly broadcast of News Now to feature announcements, what's happening at school, breakfast and lunch menu, any student features, and American sign language shared by our special education students. Students also create public service announcements or mini documentaries to enter in the Hawaii International Film Festival and Olelo Youth Exchange video competition. The Cannon camera will help students capture moments to be placed in our news and express themselves when filming their videos. The microphone will help eliminate the background noises. The flash drive will be used to store what the students capture and transfer to our iMacs. The tripod is used for stability while using the camera. This elective class is a great way for the students to share their creativity and be able to express their thoughts and feelings within a video.
