This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students greatly enjoy hands-on experiments over just lectures and taking notes. I enjoy creating experiments to match the lessons for a more interactive approach to learning that has a lasting impact. With these safety supplies, we can take on experiments that are more challenging and engage their critical thinking skills. It is so exciting to see their faces light up as they realize and show an understanding of these concepts in Earth and Space Science, Life, and Physical Science.

My students are a mix of different learning levels and personalities.

They make me want to give them all the knowledge I can so they can reach far beyond their own expectations or limitations of their imagination. I know they are capable of anything with support and encouragement from our school community. Having these supplies will help us increase our hands-on experiments to level the field of understanding, promote discussion, and teach one another as they work through the problems. The goal is to not only spark added excitement for this subject but to enhance the interest of these young ladies and gentlemen so they may want to explore a future in science. That they can be a part of the future that makes a breakthrough in scientific discovery.
