Exciting Bilingual Books That Will Create Life Long Readers!
Help me give my students access to exciting books in both Spanish and English that they can devour individually, with a partner and during guided read group time.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are biliterate readers that are motivated by beautiful and interesting books in both English and Spanish. Our third grade classroom has emergent readers that are working on their fluency and love to practice with Elephant and Piggie Books. We also have students that are fluent readers but are working on acquiring a second language and benefit from the visual support that graphic novels provide.
Our classroom library needs new and exciting bilingual titles that students won't want to put down!
These titles will be offered to students during their independent reading time, partner reading time, during guided reading groups, and literature circles. It will greatly help our students get the boost that they need to become more proficient and life long readers!
