I want to create an exciting environment where students can play, while utilizing life skills. The specific items will help supplement an existing center by including fun vegetables that students can "cut," pots and pans that students can "cook with," as well as new baby dolls that students can love and nurture. These items will help give students skills that they will use in their everyday lives.
My goals for this project are to give my students a space where they can play and enjoy the manipulatives they are using.
While all students are special, I feel as though my students need to have an opportunity to learn the above skills in a safe and protected environment.
