This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My classroom is an interactive one. We use hands-on tools in order to solidify concepts being taught. Our students are in a technological world, and we need technology in the classroom in order for these students to sore to their highest potential. Our biggest challenge has been technology.

My students are so awesome.

They are so smart and very inquisitive. I teach at a 100% poverty, intercity school. Some students do not have the opportunities with technology that others do. By implementing BYOD into my classroom and having these devices available, students will be able to experience learning in the 21st century.

My Project

Our school is implementing BYOD (Bring Your Own Device). Unfortunately, we have students who do not have these items available to bring. Students will use these devices for every subject through research, writing, and assessment. While using this technology, the pencil and paper aspect of being in the classroom will be obsolete.

Our school is in a 100% poverty area.

Every student receives free lunch. These devices will allow students to have hands-on experiences with technology that they do not have. An experience with technology for these students could be the turning point for their continued success.
