My Students

My students are resilient. They have overcome many challenges at such a young age. School is their safe refuge. They arrive to school ready to engage in new explorations where learning is meaningful and fun. I am inspired to teach and instill hope through a desire to learn.

My Project

This will be my first time for my students to receive Scholastic News readers and sight word workbooks! Please pair up with me to inspire my students to read non-fiction current news from Scholastic! Each child will be able to receive a paper form of Scholastic News readers. Students thrive with touching a physical reader and being able to mark it up for close reading. Plus, the readers come in digital form in case we need to move from face-to-face into distance learning. The sight word workbooks can be used in both face-to-face and in distance learning which will bump up their literacy skills. I am super excited that you would choose to pair up with me to provide my students with a school year filled with reading! Mahalo!
