My Students

My students are finishing their last year of elementary. I want them to leave me with the ability to use their imaginations, vocabularies bigger than the average adult and a desire to read everything! My students will also leave me with a thirst for life, goals and talents that we have uncovered together. My students come from a low-income background and do not always have a stable and /or supportive home life. Many of them showed up with no school supplies this year.

My Project

I work to undo reading resentment, and create reading excitement instead! Teaching life, discovering talents all while rocking the honor roll! Loving to read must come first, then everything else will fall into place. These materials will help me engage my students, keep my classroom organized and well managed. Comfortable seating and exciting stories and books to make my students feel at home. I design my classroom so that my students can’t wait to get to reading class! My students are on various reading levels, and come from all backgrounds. There is no room for a one sized fits all curriculum here!
