This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My Kindergarten students run into my classroom with such energy and excitement for the day. This is my third year teaching Kindergarten and I absolutely love early education. I truly see the growth and maturity occur within my students over the school year.
In my Title I school in Virginia, 100% of our students receive free lunch and breakfast.
Their challenges at home do not hold them back from giving their all at school.
Your donation will help a group of very deserving five- and six-year-old children.
My Project
In kindergarten we are learning how to count and write the number that we counted. We are learning about number lines and proper way to write the numbers.
We love numbers in Kindergarten and we need some supplies to bring math to life in our classroom.
We need to see numbers in different ways. We need tens frame cards, dominoes, and dice. Tens frames are dots within a frame with ten squares. We practice counting the dots until we can see them quickly and know how many dots are there.
We need a white board with a hundreds chart, tens frame, and number line on them to write, learn, and make mistakes. It is a write and wipe board so our mistakes can easily be erased and we can correct them.
