I have a very diverse classroom, we strive to ensure a good moral value that we are all the same and that we are all equal.
Our little classroom family has some of the brightest students that I have ever taught.
They deserve the very best that I can give them.
The laughter and wisdom that comes from these children just makes you light up. And their individuality just makes you realize what special little people we are sending out into the world once they graduate.
My Project
As a preschool teacher I find myself spending a lot of time prepping the classroom and activities for the days' activities. Sometimes it is hard to stay focused in the classroom so we strive to make the classroom atmosphere as "laid back" as possible.
Working with 20 students of different ages and development levels can be challenging, so us as teachers try to be as efficient as possible.
We have asked for some teaching materials that assist the teacher with everyday tasks. I have selected extra large clear folders that fasten closed to send home the children's homework at the beginning of the week, they are waterproof and durable for easy use by the students and their parents. We are constantly sending home "found objects" with the children ie; earrings, teeth, buttons and even very small artworks that they children have created. For this I have selected envelopes with note cards.
We complete an inordinate amount of paperwork for these little kiddos and keeping up with the originals can be tricky, I selected tab dividers with pockets to keep all of the paperwork well organized throughout the year.
Last year I went through 4 thermometers, so I am asking for a nice ear thermometer that will hopefully last the entire year. We are required to track the children's growth every year so I asked for a new scale.
I have requested a variety of different items that make a busy classroom run just a little bit smoother.
