Exceptional Students That Never Give Up!!

Help me give my students a variety of social emotional learning activities, fidget toys, sensory blocks and balls, and calming cuddle balls to assist them with managing their emotions along with some fun interactive balls and OgoDisks.

My Students

I teach significantly disabled students in a separate classroom as their least restrictive environment due to their intense support needs. Each student has individual strengths and weaknesses, and they ALL enjoy hands-on, engaging lessons that allow them to take an active part in completing. Structure is extremely important for my students to be successful and to keep their frustration levels down. The constant changes and unknowns from COVID-19 have been extremely difficult for my students to deal with.

My students face some of the most difficult challenges, but never give up!

To help each student succeed, I need to ensure that I have the necessary supplies to support social, emotion, and mental well-being as well as academic learning.

I also teach peer tutors who come into my class and are instructed on a variety of teaching skills and instructional strategies and learn basic behavioral management techniques so they can work with my students. Having a variety of classroom supplies are important for peer tutors to work effectively with my students. The peer tutors are also trained on how to demonstrate school and community-wide advocacy along with the development of friendships and inclusion in the school environment.

My Project

Imagine that each of your days had to be highly structured for you to function and not become extremely frustrated and to not have increased behavior issues.

Think of how frustrated you would be to need daily structure yet have constant changes and unknowns because of COVID-19.

Think of how great it would be to go to a classroom where your teacher has a variety of social emotional learning activities, fidget toys, sensory blocks and balls, calming cuddle balls, wobble cushions and other strategies to assist you in managing your emotions. 

These supplies will help support my exceptional students as they continue so diligently to progress.
