My students need more accessible and exciting books in our classroom library.

My Students
Scholars in my classroom come from a wide spread of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. My students are "Kids at Hope". In other words, they work towards their envision of who they want to be, rather than what they want to be when they grow up. Building a strong classroom community, students in my classroom are expected to work collaboratively and actively.
At CHE, we believe that all scholars are capable of success, no exceptions!
Students are taught to be life-long learners, innovators, problem solvers, and critical thinkers.
My Project
My students are held at high expectations during Reading Block. This means that students are reading 30-45 minutes independently every day! During Reading Block, students are asked to take the skill they learn during mini-lesson, and practice it with their independent book. Scholars have several "just fit" books in their book bags. Our students even follow a "book shopping" schedule every week!
In order to maximize this learning time, my classroom library needs the exciting and relatable books I am requesting.
Our students need books that will continue to build their love for reading. These books will add more excitement to our classroom library.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
