Exceptional Learners Mastering Math & Life Skills

Help me give my students dry erase lap boards, a giant timer and calm strips for a hands on experience while diving into their most common mathematical mistakes and struggles.

My Project

Please help me provide a special learning environment for my high school resource room for exceptional learners.

The math manipulatives such as the fraction dominoes and the TrigTrainer geoboards help exceptional learners gain a deeper understanding of high school content in all subject areas, but mainly mathematics like Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry.

This project will also focus on their learning environment, giving them structure with clear expectations to allow them to feel safe and secure and help them reach the highest levels of confidence. The timers, mood filters and calm strips will help them if they are having a rough time with their emotions and need a calm space. Special Education Resource Rooms should be a place where students feel like they can come for help from the teacher, from their peers, or just find a quiet corner with noise cancelling headphones to block everything out and work independently. Pencils are a constant struggle for everyone, "The Struggle Is Real". *Insert Smiley Face Here* The supplies will ensure that no student will have to go without in my classroom, ever. You will be helping me achieve this goal.
