For 7th graders, geometry and geometrical concepts such as scale, area of composite figures, surface area and volume are often difficult concepts to grasp. With these Legos we will explore these concepts along with measurement, angles, and the Pythagorean Theorem by designing and constructing a scale model of our school and its grounds. They get hands on learning and have to utilize the STEM processes while uncovering the Growth Mindsets inside them. This is our big project of the year and it is truly amazing to watch them fluently utilizing skills they have learned but didn't think themselves good at.

About my class
