My Project

Our Exceptional Coffee Cart will be run by our 35 amazing students in our school's fully self-contained classes. My students with special needs are launching a coffee cart at our school to work on life skills, job training, and social skills! Our students have so many strengths, and this project will provide a venue for them to share those unique and special qualities with adults and peers on campus. COVID-19 has resulted in limited and restricted opportunities for our students to work on life skills, job training, and social skills to the full extent that is needed for high-school readiness. The Exceptional Coffee Cart project will allow our most exceptional students to partner with leadership peers on campus and work on all of those skills in an environment that is authentically inclusive! The non-consumable portion of this project has already been funded, and we are looking forward to being able to finally get our coffee cart off the ground and running!
