These materials will provide my students with a hands-on learning experience, through the experimentation of growing various microgreen varieties, using different growing methods and materials. Students will learn about controls and variables, as well as design and implement their own experiments. Students will have to use their critical thinking and problem solving skills to ensure the validity of their results and comparison of measurements. This project will address learning outcomes across a number of content areas, including science, math, agriculture, social emotional learning, and more! The best part is that students will be able to take home their microgreens, or share what is grown with other students and staff on campus! This is an amazing opportunity for students to apply the perseverance skills they've developed through this pandemic in a way that brings excitement back to learning in the classroom.
