My Project

As a teacher in a Title I school, I work with exceptional children who face significant challenges in developing foundational reading skills. Many of my students struggle with decoding, reading fluency, and comprehension. To help bridge these gaps, I need engaging and effective tools that align with research-based practices like the Science of Reading.

This project will provide my students with a variety of skill-building book sets from Lakeshore Learning, including materials focused on short vowels, long vowels, digraphs, blends, and reading comprehension.

These books are designed to target specific phonics skills while engaging young readers with age-appropriate and exciting content.

For many of my students, traditional reading materials are either too advanced or too simplistic, leaving them discouraged and disengaged. These book sets are tailored to meet their unique needs, helping them build confidence, reinforce critical skills, and develop a love for reading.

Your support for this project will ensure that my students have access to high-quality resources that make reading accessible, fun, and effective. With these materials, I can provide individualized instruction that helps each child unlock their potential as a confident and capable reader.
