My Students

My students are 7th and 8th grade Middle School students that have Physical Education daily. My Physical Education classroom is a place where students are challenged to reach his or her highest potential. Students spend the year school year learning a variety of fitness and weight training routines that will benefit them for a lifetime of fitness.

The students are excited to learn new innovative fitness and weight training ideas that will help them to maintain "Fitness For Life."

My Project

The Plyometric boxes will allow me to train my 7th and 8th-grade physical education students in a variety of fitness routines. The boxes will help my students learn new ways to improve their health and tone their bodies. Plyometric training will help my students learn explosive compound movements using their own body weight. Plyometric push-ups, box jumps, and jump squats are a few of the new fitness concepts I will be able to incorporate into my curriculum. In addition to achieving an overall body workout, the students will learn the three phases of jumping Ecentric, Amortization and Concentric. Learning the three phases of jumping will also help them in other sports and activities.
