My Students

My students are at risk and many come from low income families. Despite their socioeconomic status, my students work hard in my class and in school. They are eager to learn and deserve the best literature available! My students often come to me and ask for specific books, wanting me to order them as their parents won’t purchase the books for them. It breaks my heart when students want to read but can’t get the books they are looking for. All students deserve excellent literature, and an adult who wants the books in their hands!

My Project

My students need good books to read! Many don't have access to great books, and we know they need great books to encourage their love of reading!

We all know that readers are more successful in school and in life, and I want to do all I can to create lifelong readers!

All of the students in our school come and borrow books from my library. They know that I am a reader and that I want them to be readers too! I work hard to have the latest in good literature available for them. I have even had students who have graduated come back and borrow books from our classroom library!
