My Students

We are in the heart of Chinatown where over 90% of my students come from low-income homes. Our students primarily come from newcomer families. They are their families' hopes and dreams. They translate for their non-English speaking parents. Many of them receive free or reduced-price lunch.

Many of them live in single room apartments or even share with extended family members.

My students are free spirited and eager kids that give it their all, everyday. They need a chance at reading fluently so that they can achieve beyond what their parents work so hard for.

My students yearn to increase their academic levels and demonstrate their abilities whenever they can. They enjoy different activities from singing to dancing and to hands on activities.

My Project

Please help me give my students the quality remote learning experience at home. By using OKIOLABS OKIOCAM S USB 2 in 1 Webcam and Document Camera, Anker 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub, Ultra-Slim Data USA Hub with 2 ft extended cable, and XP-PEN StarG640 Tablet Drawing Tablet, I can record online lectures for students to access for after class to review the contents. My students can benefit from using these as they would effectively demonstrate solutions as a visual aid to difficult mathematical problems by using the drawing tablet on virtual white board, as well as sharing an important page of a read aloud from the document camera.

OKIOCAM and XP-PEN Drawing Tablet will excel the remote learning experience for my students while they maintain the high standard of teaching that students have come to expect.

And when we head back to the classroom, I can connect OKIOCAM and XP-PEN drawing tablet to the classroom smart board through a computer, to share worksheets, quizzes, and crafts with the whole class. This project will promote my students' learning experience during distance learning and in-person learning.
