it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The anatomy and development of the brain is central to the study of psychology. It is my desire for my high school AP Psychology students to have the opportunity to study and dissect one that is remarkably similar to ours. The use of the sheep brain in class will allow students to visualize and have a hands on approach to their learning.
The dissection lab lesson will help students better understand the anatomy of the brain and the role each part plays in preparation for their AP exam.
My students love when they can have physical paper, books, and tools to use in class to help them in their work instead of only virtual resources. This lab will bring an amazing resource for them to use and analyze the 3D structure of a brain.
I will be helping my students through the dissection lab by getting them started on the instructions, equipment, and general procedures. The students will then be following other instructions to have them dissect, identify, label, and discuss the role of each part of the brain. We already have all the tools and equipment necessary to do the lab save for the preserved organs themselves. That is where I am hoping you can help us out!
