Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a Title I school in San Diego where all 1,000+ students receive free breakfast and lunch. All of my students are from a low, socioeconomic neighborhood, and many have parents who work two jobs to support their children.

My students are fun-loving kids who strive to do their best and make a change to better their lives!

My school holds our students to rigorous standards as we know that they are fully competent to reach them with the correct scaffolds, supports, and accommodations. My goal is to improve the academic status of each child who enters my room!

My Project

The pandemic has created a huge deficit for my students. Field trips have been canceled and student interaction with peers and educators is extremely challenging with so many students in and out of the classroom daily.

One way to combat this situation is through meaningful instruction; when engaged with current technology instruction is highly impactful.

A new classroom iMac computer would make this a reality. Students present and in the classroom would participate in a curriculum that is modern and effective. Students who are at home would still have access to this learning with the flexibility to study when their situation allows.

Please help make this dream a reality for my students!
