Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Color opens the window to endless creativity! For this project, I am requesting crayons, colored pencils, and markers. We use colors in various class activities, whether it be art, math, and/or language arts. Two weeks ago, we created drawings in class of Martin Luther King giving his famous I have a dream speech. Students were able to complete a directed draw and used a color tool of choice to enhance their drawings. Last Friday, students made finger puppet snakes for the upcoming Lunar New Year. Adding color to their snake really made it look so much better. Please help us get some new coloring tools in our class for next school year. I am also requesting Expo markers. We use dry erase markers in class daily to practice our skills. Currently, we use them for 2 digit subtraction with regrouping. Students are able to practice the skill with a partner and receive immediate feedback on how they are progressing with the skill. Using a whiteboard and Expo makes the learning more engaging for kids. Thank you so much for taking an interest into our class project!
