My Students

I teach in a small town on the Canadian border. My class is part of a K-12 school within a tight-knit community. My students are hard workers and persist in completing work to the best of their ability.

Some of my students thrive in noisy environments- places where discussion is king and the room is buzzing with ideas.

Some of my students need the quiet and calmness of a solitary space to enable them to create, think, and explore. To reach all of my students, I must strive to provide this quiet environment to the best of my ability.

My Project

Many of my students are distracted by clutter. An unorganized space causes them unease and can make it impossible to work. These materials will help me to change this.

Currently, our backroom is a mess of books, old resources, and holiday decorations falling off of the shelves.

I would like to utilize this area as a space for learning for students who need to work in an area with less distraction. Once I organize all of the supplies and resources, I can provide my students with a much needed quiet workspace.
