This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Our garden program has really expanded over the last three years and now we have outgrown our shed in the courtyard garden. There isn't enough room in there for the long tools like brooms, shovels, storing the umbrellas and more.
The kids love working in the garden and are even eager to sweep up all the leaves and weeds.
We need this new shed to give all of our long tools and umbrellas a place of their own. Right now everything is a bit of a mess and can't really fit well in the one small shed.
The plant stakes will be needed to support our early spring planting and growing in the greenhouse as we prepare to sell plants as a fund raiser. We need to label the young plants so people know what they are getting.
The batteries support our nature cams and other devices out in the garden, anemometers and weather instruments as well.
