This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a super sweet class of 2nd graders in Northern Nevada. They are creative, funny, and very intelligent. They are excited to learn and love hands-on explorations.

My students are just like I was growing up.

They are growing up in a small, family friendly town that is used to tradition and consistency. This town is always on the move and exploring, and my students are no different. I love working with this down to earth group of kids!

My Project

Our classroom needs a teaching easel where we can create anchor charts together, share ideas, and read together as a class. I have used easels in the past to share ideas with my class and to keep our gathering space organized. Without one, we are struggling to find a consistent and comfortable way to create together.

A teaching easel would make all the difference.

We would have a place to hang our anchor charts while creating them, a place to keep our writing utensils for our charts, and a place to hold our big books. It would make a world of difference in building our classroom community and in sharing our learning.
