My Students

Have a hard time sitting still? Love to lean in your chair? Well, so do many kids. The wobble chair provides students an opportunity to wiggle, or should I say wobble, while they work.

Our school provides an education to general education students along with a high population of students with disabilities.

Being located on a military base, we also help to educate many of our service members' children. My class is filled with 32 fantastic 4th graders whom I have grown quite fond of.

My Project

We already have one wobble chair and it is a huge hit! This amazing chair helps get the "fidgets out" in a big way. Many students have a difficult time sitting still, who wouldn't? The wobble chairs will specifically benefit the students in my classroom who have a hard time staying on task. These chairs provide appropriate and non-distracting ways to "fidget". By having to redirect these students less often, all my students benefit from the reduction in the loss of instructional time.

Providing students opportunities to "fidget" in a productive but non distracting way is important to the learning of all students.
