Everyone Likes a Holiday Surprise!

Help me give my students Play-Doh, mini journals, squeeze balls, and more to create nice holiday gift packs that will bring them joy!

My Students

As most of you know, schools had just started to reopen and are now closing again. Some parents are unemployed which is causing them financial hardship while trying to provide for their children. This coronavirus pandemic has changed everything for our families, students, and teachers.

My school is at a high poverty rate.

Many of the students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. We are especially worried about students who were already at risk, whose families truly struggle day-to-day in their homes with how they are going to pay bills and provide food. Now, students are working from home to complete school work.

My students and families need encouragement from the school to show them that this time can be enjoyable and experiences and memories can be made. Help us provide them with a Christmas gift in this desperate time of need. Help us reassure our students that we all have an invisible string that connects us and that we are in this together.

My Project

In this holiday surprise, my students will receive crafts, stress balls, journals, Play-Doh, and snacks! I would love to be able to surprise my students with some holiday cheer.

My students have been working hard during virtual learning and they deserve these very special gifts to make them feel special and appreciated.

Virtual learning can be very stressful at times. My students need a lot of encouragement. These gifts will provide the encouragement they need to start the new year and to keep the momentum going. It will also let them know that we are extremely thankful for them and that they are not alone in this world. Every person has value!
