Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The 2024-2025 school year is on the horizon and I am so excited about it. I am in a new classroom this year and I would love to communicate to every student and visitor, "Everyone IS Welcome!" I can do that with how I model respecting others, but also with posters and other decor. If everyone feels welcome, anxiety may be low, comfort may be high, and academic performance may also be high.
My goal for this project is for everyone who enters the classroom to feel and know they are welcome and that this classroom is a place of love and safety.
My new students are likely going to have lots of energy, are going to be eager to learn, and are going to be diverse and have a lot to share with those around them.
