Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students enjoy Social Emotional Learning (SEL) lessons and activities. I want to implement stories to integrate SEL and literacy skills. These books will be used to introduce the topic anger and self regulation.
Providing books that focus on SEL will help students better understand and manage their emotions, build positive relationships, and develop important life skills.
These books address topics such as empathy, self-awareness, responsible decision making, and relationship building. Reading these books aloud and discussing them with students can help create a positive classroom environment and support the social and emotional growth of students. The goal of this project is to help equip students with essential skills that benefit them in them in the future.
