This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hi, I teach 7th grade history/geography in a Title I Tier I middle school in North Las Vegas. All of our students' families fall into the low social-economic category. Also, all of our students are supposed to be 1:1 with technology - however, there are unfortunate circumstances when something catastrophic happens to their Chromebook - sometimes through no fault of the student. However, they cannot get another Chromebook without paying for the 1st one. For some families this is impossible. This limits the students ability to complete assignments and projects electronically. This Chromebook will ONLY be used by students in my classroom and not ever sent home so there will always be a Chromebook available when a student is without one.
