Help me give my students a voice by printing communication pictures/icons on a color printer.

My Project

What would you do if you couldn't speak or couldn't understand what someone was saying to you?

My students have a lot to say but need pictures and icons to say it.

Several students at my school communicate using pictures and icons rather than their voices (due to their disabilities). Other students, many with autism, need picture schedules to help them stay calm, know what to expect, and understand their environment. Students who are not yet reading need pictures to help them know what words to say as they practice their speech.

As a speech-language pathologist, it is my responsibility to provide these students with the pictures/icons they need. And, these pictures need to be in color. Having a color printer, ink, and cardstock will help me give my students the pictures/icons they need when they need them.

More pictures means more communication. More understanding. More learning. More inclusion.
