This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our fourth grade classroom could benefit greatly from a space for teachers to meet and teach small groups of students at a time. Currently, we have an enormous, old table that is so large that it blocks access to the classroom library. It is also very wobbly, making it difficult to work on. There are no seats at the table so kids have to drag their chairs over and that can be distracting.
A sleek, new space for small groups will excite and motivate our students!
Students will be waiting for their turn to sit on the stools and bring their books over to our new table. Working closely with a few students at a time really helps increase student learning. It also allows a space where the teacher is allowed to easily monitor the rest of the class! This table and chair set will make a great addition to our cheerful classroom.
