My Students

We live in a small rural North Carolina county. Many of my students come from low-income families. The cheerleading squad is made up of an amazing group of young ladies. They practice late nights, holidays, and weekends to compete and still be able to cheer for our football and both the girls and boys basketball teams. The team has a strong work ethic and always strive to be their very best.

My students need an octagon gymnastics mat to safely learn new skills.

My Project

Your donations will provide a gymnastics training mat so the cheerleaders can safely learn various new and more advanced cheerleading skills. A few of these skills include walkovers, front handsprings, back handsprings, leaps, tick-tocks, and over splits. This mat provides a safe spotter for my athletes to learn the proper technique and form for tumbling.

What is more exciting than seeing cheerleaders do tumbling passes after their team scores a touchdown?

The cheerleaders are eager to bring this tumbling to our crowd at games. This piece of equipment will help them learn the necessary skills to excite our home crowd and prepare them to cheer at the college level.
