I am so excited to start my new journey with my bright third grade students. They push themselves each day to grow their education and character. They are a very diverse group of learners who at times face adversity at a young age. In our classroom, it is a place where we are all safe and accepted. Each child enters our school with a different background, life experience, story, and passion.
We welcome all differences and celebrate individual uniquenesses within our community.
Together, our third graders practice values that accentuate our commonalities and strengthen relationships within our community. We celebrate our diversities. We work together to learn, explore, play, and grow each day!
These materials are basic supplies that we need each day in our third grade classroom. Most importantly, the students need pencils to do their work. They also bring the pencils that they are given in school home to do their homework, so we go through pencils very quickly. Having access to more pencils means each child can complete the work. The students also need crayons for when they are using their creativity when adding pictures to their writing pieces. We also need washable markers for group work on chart paper so that each child's contribution to the group work can be visible and celebrated from even across the room. Lastly, my third graders need dry erase markers because I use them when writing on the easel during lessons, but they also use them on individual white boards.
