My students need class sets of two kinds of whiteboard paddles to review concepts and actively participate in their learning.
Students need to be active participants in the learning process. By using formative assessments, teachers are able to tell the students if and why they need to change and answer. It allows students to gain insight into why they chose to answer a question a certain way.
My students possess a work ethic unseen in some adults.
They have a strong desire to achieve no matter what. Our school is located in a rural area of Tennessee. Funds that were available last year are not available this year. Regardless of their socioeconomic level, they are willing to try hard and focus on their work.
My students need whiteboard paddles to review concepts and actively participate in their learning. These resources will greatly impact the education of my students. Students will be able to take formative tests(not counted against them) using the paddles. This gives them an opportunity to solidify the concept before they take summative tests (which will be counted against them). They will be able to understand why their answers are wrong and correct their errors. Making mistakes are as much a part of learning as answering correctly. These paddles will greatly increase concept attainment.
The materials requested help to close the time gap for student achievement by giving students the opportunity to answer questions without being held accountable.
It allows them to share answers with fellow students, and to decide if they want to change an answer.
