My Students

My students have faced many challenges in their young lives. Even though they have these stressors in their lives, they come to school on a daily basis ready and willing to learn. They bring their creativity and energy every day so that they can accomplish all of their individual goals.

My students are some of the most caring individuals that I have ever met.

I have the opportunity to get to know them over several years because I teach multiple grade levels. This means that I will continue to teach them for 2-3 years. This allows me to watch them grow personally and academically.

My Project

My students learn in different ways that require a variety of materials on many levels. The high interest reading folders will help them master the essential skills at their own individual reading level. They will be utilized to learn the necessary grade level skills while helping to improve their confidence.

The literacy journals are a vital learning tool for my students.

Each journal is carefully chosen for my kids. The emphasis for my younger students is focusing on vocabulary building while my older students are focusing on the meaning of words and learning how to use them correctly.

All of the supplies requested will help them become more actively involved students. Most of my students are very active and the bouncy bands will allow them to move while helping them focus on learning. The math materials requested will also help my students master some of the essential math concepts by allowing them to become actively involved in the lesson.
