This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
I love when my students see me in the hallway they call me Mrs. Art Teacher and say hello. They also ask what project they will be doing next and can't wait to come to art class. My students are special because they come from culturally diverse backgrounds and are eager to learn about the arts.
I make it my mission to choose art activities with bright colors that help bring happiness.
I also incorporate activities using social-emotional learning strategies which help bring calm, joy, and relaxation to my students. They are also enthusiastic learners.
I have requested paper, construction paper crayons and sentence strips to create posters for Earth Day. My students will also create adorable headbands with the Earth on it
My students will be inspired by songs, Earth Day books and discussions about ways they can keep the earth clean in the home. school and community.
I will also have an Earth Day poster contest with exciting slogans like, "Keep It Clean," "Do Your Part and Recycle," and more.
Everyday is Earth Day and I'm looking forward to having quality supplies for my students to create beautiful head bands and
