Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students love to get their hands on items that are inspiring, engaging and fun to use! My classroom program has a spectrum of students from those who excel in academics to students with language needs to students who have documented disabilities. I want EVERYONE to learn and succeed in learning!
Students at the kindergarten level are just beginning to explore learning and need help to become as successful as possible during the early stages of educational development.
Our inclusion classroom of kindergarten students has a need for activities that support hands-on success!
As a Title I school with a large population of students with special needs, many students at our school have needs relating to basic care and safety, low-socio economic backgrounds and disabilities in academic areas. By helping students experience high quality education no matter where they are and no matter where they have been we are investing in a high quality future for our community as a whole.
I am very excited to have the opportunity to potentially supplement the materials provided by our wonderful school and to help students succeed in academics through multi-faceted teaching methods. Hands-on opportunities for strong involvement and instruction will support students who have needs relating to math
My Project
Students are engaged in learning when they have excellent resources to use in their learning. I would like to offer all of my students a high-quality experience to engage in activities that are not only interesting but meaningful. I am also wanting to make sure that all children have access to items that may otherwise be unavailable. Students are provided with learning opportunities through math programs and math interventions but extension activities that offer students the chance to build upon current skills is crucial to development and mastery. Students are in need of multi-sensory opportunities at all skill levels to encourage development and keep interest high!
Students are in greater need now more than ever to develop skills.
Students who have early success in academics are shown to succeed all along however the same is true for those who fall behind early; the catch-up process is very difficult. I would like to see all students have a great early-childhood experience to ensure success not only in my kindergarten classroom but also in their full academic careers. Students learn best when they are excited and eager to learn. Let's help them learn!
