This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Have you ever tried communicating with someone who did not speak your language? This can be very frustrating.
Our preschooler students are learning how to use sign language.
We want others in their lives to be able to use sign language too. As they learn, others around them must also learn in order to be good communication partners. Pictures can help with learning sign language.
My Project
Using the American Sign Language Clip Art CD, students will be able to take home printed materials that have pictures of the signs they are learning in class. They will be able to share these sign language resources with others around them. They are always eager to show what they are learning.
With these supplies, their learning of sign language will increase because they will have people all around them who can communicate with them.
As they learn others in their lives will also learn. In the end, everybody learns sign.
