My Students

EveryBODY deserves the chance to learn about their own body! Please help my students get the materials they need to study the systems of the human body.

My students are first and second graders in a multiage classroom.

They are inquisitive, and they thrive on the opportunity for independent investigations. They are naturally curious, which makes them natural scientists! They love learning through reading, investigating, and playing games.

My Project

I am requesting a set of nonfiction, human body vocabulary books at students' reading levels, two human body games (one with a model of the body), and a child sized apron with an internal view of the body, complete with removable organs! These resources will allow my students to master the human body science standard with more than just a teacher read aloud and worksheets. They will be able to delve into nonfiction books on their own, use a model to see how the respiratory, circulatory, and digestive systems interact, and play games to motivate them to learn about the body. The materials are hands-on and engaging!

Your donation will provide materials that will encourage my students to learn about science, specifically about the human body.

The materials can be used from year to year, so you will be supporting students and their love of science for years to come!
