Help me give my students a classroom set of headphones to use with our Chromebooks. This will allow my students to play educational games and online programs that require sound.
I teach first grade to 16 wonderful students. Our school is a Title I School where the majority of the students receive free or reduced-price lunch. My students strive to do their best every day and love to have fun while learning.
It is a rewarding experience as my students begin to read and individuals discover their favorite books and their imagination grows in our classroom!
This is my third year teaching and I am still working on growing my classroom supplies and manipulatives in order to provide my students with the best learning experience every day.
My Project
In my first grade classroom, we use Chromebooks to practice skills in reading and math daily. I currently only have five headphones in my classroom which is not enough for all of my 16 students. If all of my students can have their own headphone set then they will be bae to work at their own pace in a quiet learning environment in our classroom. I also use the Chromebooks to show videos and activities during our reading lessons.
This headphone set will provide my students with a way to listen to the audio and games while using their Chromebook to increase student achievement.
This project will help all of my students be engaged in the Chromebook at all times. The headphones will also be compatible with iPads and laptops also for my students to use. The headphones will be used to increase students skills in music, mathematics, and reading in our 21st-century classroom.
