This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
It’s a new school year and I am excited to meet my new students and greet them with new school supplies! I teach at a Title I school and many of my students’ parents do not have the ability to buy their children the basic school supplies that they need to start the year out right.
Do you remember the excitement of picking out your school supplies for the new year?
Well, I would like to give that shopping experience to my students and set up a little school supply “shopping center” in my classroom so that my students can pick out the supplies such as pencils, markers and crayons they need for the year.
