Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students attend school in an urban area. I have a very diverse group of learners at all levels. They are very eager to learn and soak up everything they can! My students will do anything they can to improve our classroom. When I saw how little we had to work with, they brought in anything they could from home the following day. They are passionate learners who care about their education.
My students deserve to have their basic needs met.
Every child deserves the basic supplies in order to succeed!
My Project
My students will have their basic needs met with sharpened pencils, anchor charts, and organized books. Every child should have this. It is important that children can focus on learning and not how they can get what they need in order to learn.
Students shouldn’t have to waste time trying to find basic supplies.
My students won’t have to waste time using cheap pencil sharpeners that are ineffective. They will come in to sharpened pencils. The classroom library won’t be on the floor. They can browse books without having to be on the floor. The students will have anchor charts to improve their learning.
