My Project

Our middle school library is more than a place to check out books—it’s a haven where students can relax, recharge, and discover stories that help them grow. Some of our students don’t have a comfortable, quiet place to read outside of school. By adding soft beanbag chairs, cozy floor seating, light covers, and an inviting rug, we can reimagine a portion of our library as a welcoming reading nook where every student feels they belong.

Research shows that students read more when they are comfortable and engaged.

A warm, inviting environment encourages reluctant readers to pick up a book, helps anxious students find a peaceful space, and gives all students a place where reading feels enjoyable rather than required.

Your support will help create a space where students can curl up with a great book, connect with their imaginations, and build a lifelong love of reading. In our library, every story matters, and every reader belongs.
