Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are young, enthusiastic, and eager to learn. They work hard and want to over-excel in all that they do. They love helping one another and giving each other the support. They are very open-minded and absorb the information given to them quite quickly. They are inquisitive and learn through experiences. Their fascination with the world allows them to see even the smallest detail. They are always excited to share the world they see through their eyes. The world through the eyes of a four-five year old is fascinating.

My Project

As the first school-experience of most of my students, it is my goal to inspire them to love school. They come to school eager to learn and make connections to what they are learning about. Sometimes they do not have the vocabulary or writing skills to express their thoughts, making difficult to make further connections.

A camera will give my students the opportunity to express themselves in so many ways.

It will allow them to take a picture of their interests bring it back to class and attempt to draw it or share it with others, creating more language. It will also allow me to share with their families the pride in their faces they convey when they complete a task or project.

Your generous donation will help my students exhibit their love for learning. The smiles, the joy to acquire new knowledge, language, and skills will be shared with our families and friends. Through this donation, my students will be able to share their creativity and will have a voice through their pictures .
