Today, social media, movies, and peers really shape how students see the world and themselves. To help balance this, I want to provide my students with engaging read-aloud books. These books can open their minds and hearts, allowing them to think about their own lives and how they relate to others. Through the characters and stories, students will learn empathy, understand different perspectives, and see themselves more clearly. Reading "The Giving Tree", "Have You Filled a Bucket Today", "Fish in a Tree" and other books about disabilities and leadership will help shape students perspective. With these books students will build a positive perspective of themselves, others, and how to be a stronger leader. These books will be fun way to build strong emotional skills that help my students with exceptional needs in everyday life!
With every page, every voice, and every story, students will be empowered to have a positive perspective on themselves and become stronger leaders.
