This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my inclusive Pre-K classroom, learning starts with play, and play starts with wonder. These stunning materials are more than just beautiful; they are thoughtfully designed tools that will support a wide range of developmental needs. For my students with disabilities, particularly those working on fine motor control or sensory processing, these tactile tools will make abstract concepts concrete.

Each smooth wooden tray invites tiny hands to trace letters and numbers with fingers or tools, promoting letter and number formation, recognition, and muscle memory.

The hundred board and felt balls encourage children to explore counting, patterning, and one-to-one correspondence in a way that’s joyful, calm, and deeply engaging.

These Montessori- and Reggio-inspired materials are durable, natural, and visually calming—perfect for creating a warm and welcoming learning space. They allow all children, including emergent bilinguals and neurodivergent learners, to access math and literacy in a way that feels safe, accessible, and meaningful.
